I flew to Copenhagen in Denmark on October 27th and spent just over 24hrs there getting some film of the city and interviewing a few people. It was neat to learn more about this country that I never really thought about before – including seeing some interesting architecture as seen below! (Hover your mouse over the images for descriptions). After a train ride under the water and over it, we made our way to Sweden and arrived in Stockholm near [...]

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster ride as the excitement of my move to Italy becomes official mixed with the daunting task of all that needs to be done before then. I did some more filming for a local hotel that I had started filming this summer and am trying to finish off before I leave. While doing that job, I was asked to quote for another small job. Not sure what the [...]

This last week has been pretty eventful. The big event was that my sister had her baby girl on Sunday night! She is going to be one protected little girl with 3 older brothers! It was so lovely to be there for the birth and to photograph the event as a special memory for my sister. The previous Thursday, I also had the opportunity to photograph another friend and her baby, which was a fun shoot out in the woods. [...]

Last Thursday I headed up to my sister’s house in order to celebrate my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary on Friday. We had a lovely time together and I’m so thankful for my parents. Their anniversary was actually on Sunday, but I had to leave early on Saturday morning (after only 1 1/2hrs sleep) to catch a flight to Strasbourg, France, where I would be filming and photographing a friend’s wedding on that Sunday. It was a real privilege to be [...]

Today we got to experience a church service in Austria. There were a few people away, but it was a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the fellowship of the people. One of the guys translated the sermon for us, which was a nice surprise. After some fellowship back at the church, we joined them at one of their houses for more fellowship with the young adults. We had food, time to get to know each other, play games, and video [...]

Today was a day off. We slept in to catch up on the lack of sleep we’ve had recently and, while Tory enjoyed the local pool and an area down town, I stayed at the house to catch up on some computer-based work that really needed to be done. This morning I was able to work outside on the deck with the mountains as my backdrop, but a thunderstorm came in and settled in the area during most of the [...]

We left Ingolstadt to make the short journey to Dachau concentration camp. I’d been there before, but it’s always a sobering experience to be standing in the same place where many people were tortured and slaughtered. We had no problem filming there and got some neat video to use. Once we were done there, we bought a doner kebab for lunch. It’s the 3rd day in a row now – it’s a great traditional lunch! We then began our journey [...]
